The Crypto Industry in New York
Fazzao previously reported on the regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies in the United States and made forecasts for its future development - the White House will take part in crypto research, and make government departments to work together to build a digital assets regulatory framework. It can be seen that the United States attaches great importance to the development of crypto industry and is one of the most promising crypto hot spots in the world.
The data above shows that New York has a significantly higher share of the crypto hires than other cities. As the crypto industry enters the mainstream, it is attracting money, investors and entrepreneurs. As a result, many U.S. cities are vying for the title of crypto capital. New York, as the financial center and the largest city of the United States, undoubtedly ranks first in the crypto recruitment market of the country. Despite previous strict regulations on cryptocurrencies like BitLicense required by NYDFS, the state's crypto industry is still of great potential. According to recent reports, several of New York's most powerful politicians appear to be ready to support crypto-friendly regulation. New York City Mayor Eric Adams converted his salary to cryptocurrency as favour on the area and expressed his desire for the city to become "the hub of the crypto industry." Likewise, Adrienne Harris, director of the state's Department of Financial Services, sits on the board of the Digital Dollar Foundation, which aims to promote the U.S. central bank's digital currency.
Fazzaco recently conducted a survey on LinkedIn recruitment and found that in the past month, there were 1,882 crypto job postings in New York, 1,731 in San Francisco, and 1,285 in Los Angeles, leading the other cities in the above table. Combined with the regulatory policies analyzed thereinbefore, it can be inferred that this trend of crypto hiring in major U.S. cities may still be maintained in 2022.
