Nordea Asset Management has joined SIX Swiss Exchange as an ETF issuer, expanding the marketplace's sustainable investment offerings with the launch of its first actively managed exchange-traded funds.

The two new listings fall under Nordea's BetaPlus Enhanced Sustainable Equity range: the BetaPlus Enhanced Global Developed Sustainable Equity UCITS ETF and the BetaPlus Enhanced Global Sustainable Equity UCITS ETF. Both funds apply data-driven portfolio construction and responsible investment principles and are domiciled in Ireland.

Cristian Pappone, Nordea's regional head for Switzerland and Austria, highlighted the strategy's track record: "BetaPlus is a proven strategy, with more than 15 years of successful track record and over EUR 60 billion in assets under management. With the launch of active BetaPlus ETFs – alongside our long-standing UCITS funds – and now the listing on SIX Swiss Exchange we're making it easier for investors to access this long-standing solution with the flexibility and tradability they want."

With these additions, the total number of ETFs available on SIX rises to 2,076. The exchange noted that 224 ETFs have been listed so far in 2025, including 76 actively managed products, marking the strongest year for new active ETF listings in nearly a decade. Active ETFs now make up 10% of all listed products.

SIX sales manager Danielle Reischuk welcomed Nordea's entry, stating it "further strengthens our position as a leading hub for sustainability-focused and innovative investment solutions."

The listings reflect a broader trend of asset managers moving towards active ETF formats, which combine traditional fund management with the flexibility of exchange trading.
