Northern Trust Names Leon Stavrou as New Head of Business in Australia and New Zealand

Northern Trust, a leading provider of asset servicing, today announced the promotion of Leon Stavrou as its new head of its business in Australia and New Zealand, effective 1 October.

In his new role, Mr Stavrou will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategic direction for Northern Trust’s business providing solutions to its sophisticated corporate and institutional clients across the region. He will report to Angelo Calvitto, Head of Asia-Pacific Region.

Mr Stavrou joined Northern Trust in April 2010, and he most recently served as Senior Vice President and Global Services Executive Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Mr Stavrou served as Manager of Fund Services at National Australia Bank Asset Servicing from January 2006 to March 2010. Mr Stavrou's career began at VFMC, where he spent for more than 3 years.

​As Fazzaco reported earlier, Northern Trust has secured Angelo Calvitto head of Asia-Pacific region. In addition, the company also appointed Arthur Hill​ as Senior Vice President and Head of Product Management for Asset Servicing.
