Nuvei Promotes Antonia Michail to AML Compliance Officer for Digital Payments in Europe

Canadian payment technology company Nuvei has promoted Antonia Michail to AML Compliance Officer for Digital Payments in Europe.

Antonia has over 14 years of AML and regulatory compliance experiences in financial industry. As seen on her linkedIn profile, Antonia joined Nuvei in August 2020 as Deputy AML Compliance Officer for Digital Payments, Europe. Prior to Nuvei, she served at Centaur Trust, a financial consulting firm where her latest position was Assistant Manager of Compliance and Internal Audit Department. Earlier in her career, she worked at Bizserve Consultants Ltd and took the responsibility of corporate and advisory services.

From Oct. 2019 to Nov. 2019, Antonia held the role of Master of Ceremonies of Decentralized Conference, an Europe's premier conference on blockchain and digital currencies.

Antonia is an ACAMS-certificated Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and CySEC-certificated AML Compliance Officer. She also completed the course of Blockchain Law, Regulation and Policy in University of Nicosia in 2020.

Antonia gained her Bachelor's Degree of Political Science from University of Crete in 2006, and finished her MBA course in Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM). Furthermore, she had earned the Master's Degree of Law in Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2017.
