OANDA Announces the Promotion of John Murphy as UK Head
OANDA, a global leader in online multi-asset trading services, currency data and analytics, announced that it has promoted John Murphy as the Head of the United Kingdom. In the meantime, he will continue to serve as the firm’s Global Head of Retail Sales.
Murphy is a veteran in the forex trading industry with 14-year experience, particularly in sales. He has been with OANDA for 7 years. He joined OANDA as Retail Sales Team Lead for the EMEA region, and then was promoted as Head of Sales, EMEA. Later at the beginning of 2020, he became Global Head of Retail Sales. Currently, he is overseeing OANDA’s retail sales across all markets, including North America, UK, Europe, Singapore, Australia, and emerging markets.
Prior to OANDA, Murphy was Senior Sales Associate, Forex and Derivatives at Alpari (UK) Ltd from 2010 to 2014. He started his career at another world famous forex broker FXCM as Sales Executive in 2007.
