OANDA Europe Reports Revenue of £29.3 Million in 2020

Fazzaco learned that OANDA Europe, based in London, has reported its revenues of £29.3 Million in 2020, up 148% from £11.8 million in 2019. The broker saw a nice rebound in activity and a return to profitability in 2020, following a disappointing 2019 at OANDA.

The broker reported its net profit of £4.6 million in 2020 after suffering a loss of £3.6 million in 2019. However, there was a drop in client funds held by the broker, to £38.1 million as at 31 Dec., 2020 versus £42.8 million in 2019.

After suffering its poor figures in 2019 because of imposed ESMA leverage limits, OANDA told that it had in mind five important goals for 2020 (i) to let the business back to profitability, (ii) increase the quantity of active clients, (iii) update the product offer, (iv) strictly control the expense, and (v)keep its regulatory and legal obligations in compliance. For 2021, OANDA’s key goals are to keep profitable earnings whilst maintaining effective risk, cost management and regulatory compliance.
