OANDA Expands Its CFDs Offering with Addition of US and UK Listed Equities

OANDA, a global leader in online multi-asset trading services, currency data and analytics, announced on Monday (March 20) that it has expanded its CFDs in its Global Markets division by adding share CFDs on US and UK listed equities.
The brokerage firm already allows its clients to trade CFDs on European blue-chip stocks. With this expansion, clients can now also profit from trading CFDs with US and UK listed equities.
OANDA noted in the announcement: "With this announcement, OANDA completes its goal of allowing retail traders to trade CFDs on individual company shares, such as BP and Vodafone in the UK, and Tesla, Amazon, and Apple in the US."
Phil Waters, Head of APAC & Emerging Markets at OANDA, commented: "Interest in CFDs has been surging globally as they offer traders and investors the opportunity to profit from price changes without owning the underlying assets. CFDs give exposure to markets that are trending downward as well as upward, allowing traders to take positions even when volatility is high."
OANDA is in the process of restructuring its European business. Fazzaco previously reported that the broker had planned to shut down its operation in Malta in March and consolidate its European business under a regulated entity registered in Warsaw, Poland.
Last week, OANDA announced the launch of new operations in the EU. It's operations are now run from Warsaw, Poland, under the financial regulatory authority of KNF, the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (PFSA).
