OANDA Japan Resolves Tech Issues after Hour-long CFD Trading Halt

The Japanese unit of OANDA​, a multi-asset trading provider, has issued a notice indicating that from 10:27 to 11:18 local time yesterday, both the platform's CFD rate update and trading were not possible due to technical issues.

In the notice, OANDA​ Japan confirmed that the tech issues plaguing CFD trading have been resolved. The normal service has been restored.

This was not the first time that the Japanese unit of OANDA faced tech issues shutting down normal operations of its platforms during a short one-month period. On April 1, 2021, OANDA Japan confirmed another problem with the display​ of thee order books on MT4 and fxTrade that was detected on March 30, 2021. The normal service was restored after several hours in the morning of March 31, 2021. 

Additionally, last December, there was another problem with MT4/MT5 order book display causing unwanted impacts on OANDA Japan's normal operations.
