OANDA Japan to Discontinue MT4 and MT5 Web Terminal Services

OANDA Japan Inc, a subsidiary of online broker OANDA Corporation, has announced it will terminate its MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) Web Terminal services effective May 31, 2026. Following this termination, clients will no longer be able to access their accounts via the web browser version. The firm advises traders who wish to continue using MT4 or MT5 platforms to utilize the desktop or mobile application versions instead. Account balances, open positions, and existing orders will remain intact and accessible through these alternative platforms. However, chart settings and other customized indicators saved within the Web Terminal interface will not be transferred to other devices. Separately, OANDA Japan notes it will fully terminate its provision of the MT4 platform on November 27, 2026, encouraging current MT4 users to migrate to MT5 or transition to the company's proprietary fxTrade tool.
