Octa to Retire Existing Brand and Launch New Global Trading Identity in February

Source: Valerie Jared Kirui

Online trading group Octa is set to discontinue the use of its current brand and introduce a new international trading brand on February 9, marking a strategic shift away from its long-standing brand-sharing structure.

Transition to a Unified Global Brand

According to industry sources, the group has been preparing the rebrand for several months and has now moved into the final phase of launching and rolling out the new identity. The decision is described as part of a broader strategy to establish a more resilient and future-ready trading platform, with a focus on security, reliability, and long-term sustainability for clients.

While the new brand will introduce a refreshed visual identity across the broker’s website and mobile applications, the underlying trading infrastructure will remain unchanged, ensuring continuity for existing users.

Client Migration and Regulatory Continuity

Octa will continue to operate under its existing regulatory licenses in Mauritius and the Union of Comoros. Clients currently onboarded under these entities will be automatically migrated to the new broker entity once the new brand goes live, with no action required on their part.

The transition effectively brings an end to the previous model under which multiple legally independent entities operated globally using the Octa name.

Clarifying the Group’s Brand and Legal Structure

The rebranding follows recent public clarification by the group regarding its brand and corporate structure, amid increased scrutiny and market discussion. Octa emphasized that it is not a single global company, but rather an umbrella brand historically used by several independent brokerage entities.

Each entity operates separately, holds its own regulatory license, maintains individual relationships with local regulators, and is fully responsible for compliance within its jurisdiction. Despite sharing a common brand identity and marketing framework in the past, these companies have always functioned independently from a legal and regulatory standpoint.

With the upcoming launch of the new international brand, Octa aims to streamline its market presence and provide greater clarity to clients, partners, and regulators, while laying the groundwork for its next phase of global expansion.
