Offshore Retail FX brand SMFXVIP gets fraudulent license warning from IFSC

Belize financial regulator IFSC has issued a warning regarding China-focused offshore Retail FX and CFDs broker SMFXVIP, at website smfxvip.net.

The IFSC stated that the entity is using a fraudulent Belize license (No: IFSC/60/373/TS/19). The company shows contact info including email – info@smfx.com; payment@smfx.com; asiasupport@smfx.com, and telephone 44 203 051 695; 86 400 656 3212.

The SMFXVIP brand and website appears to be a clone of SMFX.com. The real SMFX is a trading name of Scope Markets Ltd, which is indeed licensed in Belize, and recently signed to be a sleeve sponsor of UK Premier League club West Ham United. The group also has a CySEC licensed entity SM Capital Markets Ltd, which operates  www.scopemarkets.eu website. The clone SMFXVIP is also showing the West Ham sponsorship on its website.
