Okcoin Europe Rebrands to OKX, Names Europe General Manager

Okcoin Europe Ltd. has unveiled its rebranding to OKX, which allows customers in Europe to be served under the OKX brand, one of the biggest crypto exchanges by trading volume.

Besides, Erald Ghoos has been appointed as Europe General Manager.

"We're firmly committed to innovation and service to our European and global users. Under the globally known and respected OKX brand, we look forward to growing in the European region and continuing to hire the best local talent to support our ambitious plans," said Erald Ghoos.

Okcoin Europe has been delivering crypto services to local users through its crypto service provider registration with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and a virtual financial asset service provider license in Malta since 2021. In the Netherlands, , the OKX platform is currently available in beta mode, with an official launch forthcoming. 

"Europe is home to many diverse and growing communities of crypto users, some of whom have yet to be introduced to OKX and what we stand for. Our mission over the coming months and years is to build locally, including in important markets such as the Netherlands," stated OKX President Hong Fang.

Last month, Fazzaco reported that OKX was winding down its operations in India,​ citing local regulations.
