OKX Appoints Maria Stankevich as Director of Institutional Sales

OKX, the world's second largest crypto exchange by volume and a leading web3 platform, has appointed Maria Stankevich as its Director of Institutional Sales for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Maria brings over a decade of experience in business development, sales, PR and marketing to OKX. As seen on her linkedIn profile, prior to OKX, Maria had been with an UK based cryptocurrency exchange EXMO for 5 years, where she joined as Head of Communications in Jan. 2018 and promoted as Chief Business Development Officer in Feb. 2019.

She previously held roles including Digital Head and Head of Communications at Inter RAO, a leading energy export and import operator in Russia.

Maria has been serving as Policy Advisor at CryptoUK, a self-regulatory trade association for the UK crypto asset industry, since August 2020. She is also a Global Ambassador at WomenTech Network, a community that promotes gender diversity in tech and connects talented and skilled professionals with top companies and leading startups.

Maria earned her Doctor's Degree of New Media from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU).

Amid the crypto winter, crypto trading volume showed overall drop, while OKX witnessed slight increase in Setemper​. Last month, the crypto exchange announced its registration as a Digital Asset Business in the Bahamas​.
