OKX Secures MiCA Pre-Authorization for Crypto Services in the EEA

OKX has announced yesterday that it has become the first Virtual Financial Assets (VFA) exchange to obtain a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) pre-authorization. This milestone positions OKX to offer regulated crypto exchange services across the European Economic Area (EEA).
Under this pre-authorization, EEA customers will gain access to a comprehensive suite of regulated crypto exchange products, including OTC trading, spot trading, and bot trading. The platform will support over 240 cryptocurrency tokens across 260+ trading pairs, along with 60+ euro-based trading pairs.
Once fully licensed, OKX plans to expand its services to all 30 EEA member states, operating through its Malta hub. The company is committed to catering to local needs by offering customized features such as local language support, currency displays, and region-specific customer service via its website and app.
In addition, OKX users in the region will benefit from free euro deposits and withdrawals through bank transfers, as well as the ability to buy cryptocurrency using cards and other trusted local payment methods.
This development marks a significant step for OKX in its mission to provide accessible, secure, and user-friendly crypto services across Europe.
