OKX to End Its Mining Pool and Related Services

OKX, a well-known crypto exchange and a leading Web3 technology company, announced that it will discontinue its Mining Pool and related services on February 26, 2024.
According to the announcement, new user registrations for the Mining Pool feature have already been halted since January 26, 2024. However, existing users will still be able to utilize the service until February 25, 2024.
OKX noted: "On February 26, 2024, we will discontinue all mining pool-related services."
Despite bringing an end to mining services, OKX has been expanding its crypto offerings on a global scale. Earlier this month, the exchange's Middle East subsidiary secured a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), following obtaining a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) Preparatory license from the regulator last June.
Two months ago, OKX officially launched its crypto exchange and Web3 wallet platform in Brazil, broadening the trading options available to Brazilian users. In the same month, it also introduced Signal Trading, a platform that serves as a bridge connecting signal providers and traders, providing automated strategies based on technical analysis, or 'signals,' which can indicate whether to buy or sell crypto.
