Options Technology Expands Connectivity to Japan's Alternative Exchange

Options Technology has integrated the Japan Alternative Market (JAX) into its global connectivity suite, the company announced. This move provides clients access to the proprietary trading system via Options' low-latency AtlasFabric network.
JAX operates as a regulated Proprietary Trading System in Japan, offering an alternative venue for equity trading and liquidity. Options stated it was a founding partner, providing both connectivity and market data feeds from the platform's launch.
The announcement follows a similar move by competitor TNS, which connected to JAX three months prior. This positions JAX as a key focus for infrastructure firms seeking a foothold in Japan's alternative trading landscape.
James Hardcastle, Vice President and Head of APAC Sales at Options Technology, commented, "Integrating JAX strengthens our portfolio of connectivity, hosting, and market data services across Japan and APAC. Coupled with our low-latency infrastructure, this underscores our commitment to best-in-class service."
Access to JAX is delivered through the AtlasFabric network, designed for real-time market data. Clients can route JAX feeds directly into trading and risk systems through the managed connection.
CEO Danny Moore linked the partnership to the firm's broader product expansion. "We are thrilled to expand across APAC, and JAX was an obvious next step," Moore said. "Having partnered from day one, we've witnessed their exceptional growth firsthand."
This development follows a busy period for Options, which in February agreed to acquire application modernization firm Crossvale. The company, founded in 1993, operates offices across major global financial centers.
