Pagaya Appoints Two New Independent Directors to Board
Pagaya Technologies has announced the appointment of Asheet Mehta and Alison Davis as independent directors to its Board of Directors. This aims to enhance the company's leadership in the financial technology sector.
Asheet Mehta brings over 30 years of experience in financial services, currently serving as a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he has led the Financial Services Practice in the Americas. His extensive background includes advising fintech firms, credit card companies, and various banking institutions. Mehta has held positions on several boards, including the Asia Society and Partnership with Children, and serves as an advisor for MoneySatNav and CreditEnable.
Alison Davis, with a similarly robust background, is the Chairman and Managing Partner of Blockchain Coinvestors, a prominent venture fund focusing on blockchain technology. Her previous role as CFO of Barclays Global Investors (now part of BlackRock) adds to her credentials. Davis has also served on boards for notable institutions like Kraken and Silicon Valley Bank.
The appointments come as part of Pagaya's ongoing efforts to strengthen its governance and strategic direction, especially following its public listing in 2022. Current directors Mircea Ungureanu and Nicole Torraco will be stepping down from their positions, with the company thanking them for their contributions during a pivotal transition period.
The addition of Mehta and Davis is expected to provide valuable insights and guidance to Pagaya as it continues to develop its AI-driven infrastructure for the financial ecosystem.
