Paradigm Leads An $11.8 M Seed Funding for Fintech Blowfish

An $11.8 million fundraising round into Blowfish, a firewall provider trying to aid Web3 businesses in fending off the cyberattacks that may frequently afflict their goods and services, was led by cryptocurrency investment firm Paradigm.
Blowfish will enable wallet providers and custodians to provide users with real-time warnings and human-readable transaction context.
Fraud in the cryptocurrency industry and the wider Web3 environment not only undermines investor confidence but also makes it more difficult to win over the institutions and authorities of the traditional financial sector. As a result, businesses that provide services to avoid fraud ought to be able to draw in a sizable amount of funding from investors. Earlier this month, venture capital behemoth Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) led the $51.5 million Series B investment round for fraud-prevention business Sardine.
Blowfish, which is already accessible on the Polygon, Solana, and Ethereum blockchains, intends to utilize the investment to develop its fraud-detection engine and extend to more platforms. A version of the internet known as Web3 is built on decentralized platforms, blockchain technology, and virtual currency.
The investment round also included contributions from Ravikant Capital, Dragonfly, Uniswap Capital, and Hypersphere.
