At last, an agreement has been reached between PayPal and Apple to begin accepting each other's payment services within their own ecosystems. PayPal will soon introduce additional options for users and merchants to benefit from Apple Pay, iPhone, and other services. In addition to supporting Apple Pay on its branded debit and credit cards and integrating Apple Pay as a payment option in checkout flows, PayPal said it will soon implement Apple's new Tap to Pay on iPhone feature for retailers.

Meanwhile, Apple Pay will be added as an option in PayPal's unbranded checkout flows on merchant platforms. And, from next year, US customers will also be able to add PayPal and Venmo network-branded credit and debit cards to Apple Wallet.

In the meantime, PayPal's unbranded checkout flows on merchant platforms will now include Apple Pay as a choice. Additionally, US customers will be able to add network-branded credit and debit cards from PayPal and Venmo to Apple Wallet starting next year.

PayPal made these announcements in an update to investors as part of its Q3 2022 earnings release. As one of its "strategic initiatives and business updates," the company says it is "working with Apple to enhance our offerings for PayPal and Venmo merchants and consumers."
