Paysend Onboards Javier Perez as Non-executive Director

Paysend, a global FinTech disruptor on a mission to change how money is moved around the world, announced that Javier Perez has joined its board as a non-executive director.

The new addition follows the company's recent milestone of reaching 5 million customers globally in under five years and its ranking as the third fastest growing technology company in the UK by Deloitte.

In his new role, Mr Perez will play an active role in Paysend’s future business strategy, working closely with its senior management team to help drive further global expansion and also extend its ecosystem of strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining Paysend, Mr Perez founded Global PayTech Ventures and served as Managing Partner. Before this role, he spent nearly 25 years at Mastercard, including 15 years as president of Mastercard Europe, and two years as president of Mastercard Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Region. Earlier in his career, Mr Perez has hold various roles in different companies including Visa, BBVA, Banco de Vizcaya and so on.

In May this year, Paysend has raised $125 million in a Series B funding round​ to speed up the company’s global expansion.
