Pepperstone Adds 79 New 24-Hour US Share CFDs

Global CFD broker Pepperstone has expanded its offering of 24-hour US share CFDs, adding 79 new instruments to its portfolio. The move brings the total number of available US share CFDs to over 100, allowing traders to access opportunities outside traditional equity exchange hours.

The expansion follows the launch of Pepperstone's initial 24-hour US share CFD offering in March 2024, which saw significant demand from traders. The extended trading hours are designed to help clients respond to market-moving events, such as corporate earnings releases and economic reports, that occur outside standard trading sessions.

An analysis by Pepperstone highlighted trends in high-momentum and mega-cap US equities, including Tesla, Nvidia, and Alphabet. According to the data, a significant portion of these companies' share price gains occurred outside Nasdaq cash session hours—97% for Tesla, 82% for Nvidia, and 91% for Alphabet.

Chris Weston, Head of Research at Pepperstone, noted, "The data suggests that the overnight session has been a key driver of returns for many US equities. This could make 24-hour pricing an important consideration for equity traders moving forward."
