Person of the Year: Changpeng Zhao, Founder of Binance

​Binance, the biggest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, which is not necessarily a part of the forex industry. But anyone who is in the business knows that crypto trading is the thing, and there is no way to bypass Binance, and the most notable person to the firm, its founder, Mr. Changpeng Zhao.

Born in Jiangsu, China, Changpeng Zhao, or more commonly known as CZ, was previously a member of the team that developed Blockchain.info and also served as chief technology officer of OKCoin.

He founded Binance in 2017, which quickly grew into the biggest crypto exchange globally, and made him one of the wealthiest people on this planet.

But 2021 looks like a tough year for him, since a growing number of financial watchdogs have clamped down on the exchange from late June. Fazzaco has covered a series of stories on Binance getting warned throughout the year.
