Peter Sanderson Named CEO of SimCorp Following Leadership Transition

SimCorp, a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse AG specializing in investment management solutions, has appointed Peter Sanderson as its new Chief Executive Officer. The leadership change is effective immediately and comes ahead of the retirement of long-serving CEO Georg Hetrodt at the end of the year.

Sanderson brings a diverse background in investment management and advisory services. He previously served as Group CEO of GAM Investments and held several senior roles during a ten-year tenure at BlackRock, including as a member of the European Executive Committee. His experience as a former client of SimCorp gives him firsthand familiarity with the company's platform.

"I am very excited to join SimCorp at this crucial juncture," Sanderson stated. He emphasized the company's position in helping clients navigate market shifts and praised its "values-based culture."

SimCorp Chair Christian Kromann welcomed the appointment, citing Sanderson's industry knowledge and leadership track record. "With Peter's experience... we know that he is the right next leader for SimCorp," Kromann said.

The move marks a new chapter for SimCorp as it continues to expand its footprint in the global financial technology landscape. Hetrodt's departure, following nearly three decades with the firm, is part of a planned succession process.
