Fazzaco learned that Playtech plc, an online gaming and financial trading firm, has released its financials for the first six months of 2021, indicating a solid jump in B2B revenue.

More specifically, the company reported a total revenue of €457.4 million. In particular, B2B revenue came in at €267.2 million, 16 percent higher than the previous year. Revenues from the Americas grew to €46.4 million from H1 2020’s €22.9 million.

Adjusted EBITDA stood at €124.1 million, up 13% from a year earlier. The adjusted post-tax profits increased to €54.6 million from €3.5 million.

“I am delighted by our strong strategic and operational progress to date in 2021, despite the ongoing challenges posed by the pandemic. These results demonstrate the quality of our technology and products, the significant progress made against our strategic priorities, and wider momentum across Playtech’s operations. Looking forward, given the strong H1 performance, the momentum in the business and the easing of lockdown restrictions, we are confident of Playtech’s prospects for the remainder of 2021 and beyond,” commented Mor Weizer, CEO of Playtech.

As Fazzaco reported earlier, Playtech has appointed Linda Marston-Weston as a Non-Executive Director, with effect from 1 October 2021. Alongside the appointment of Linda, two other Playtech board members, John Jackson and Claire Milne, will be stepping down at the end of this month.
