Plus500 Achieved Success in Q1 2022 with 68% QoQ Jump in Revenue

Plus500, a global multi-asset fintech group operating technology-based trading platforms, today released a trading update for the three months ended 31 March 2022. The broker reported $270.9 million in revenue during the three months of 2022, a 68% jump compared to Q4 of 2021.
According to the official announcement, the number of active clients reached 176,642 in Q1 of 2022, compared to 171,922 in Q4 of 2021. The broker onboarded 33,740 new clients during the last quarter, up 2% compared to 33,187 in Q4 of 2021.
The company's EBITDA reached $161.6 millionfor the quarter, compared to $70.9 million during the fourth quarter of 2021. Additionally, the company's EBITDA margin also increased by 36 percent compared to the last quarter.
Plus500's success in Q1 2022 is based on its strategic roadmap of expanding its core product offering in new and existing markets, launching new trading and financial products and deepening engagement with customers.
In February 2022, the company announced the addition of a new licence in Estonia, granted by the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority. Last month, the company announced its entry into the Japanese market through the acquisition of EZ Invest Securities, Co., Ltd. (EZ Invest).
