Plus500 to power US futures trading for Canada’s Wealthsimple

Israel-based online brokerage Plus500 (LON:PLUS) has announced a strategic partnership with Wealthsimple, Canada’s leading financial innovator serving over 4 million Canadians and holding C$150 billion in assets under administration.
Plus500’s institutional-grade infrastructure will enable Canadian retail investors to access US futures contracts for the first time, marking a key step in the firm’s expanding B2B partner ecosystem. Under the agreement, Plus500 will provide its proprietary clearing, order routing and risk management technology, the same systems used in its regulated US futures operations.
The partnership delivers two strategic outcomes: Wealthsimple’s client base gains direct access to US futures via Plus500’s trading platform, and Plus500’s B2B ecosystem is further strengthened with a pipeline of additional opportunities already in progress. Wealthsimple’s selection of Plus500 reflects the group’s ability to offer proprietary technology, CFTC-regulated clearing and proven operational infrastructure as a single integrated solution.
This deal follows Plus500’s landmark appointment as clearing partner for CME Group and FanDuel’s event-based contracts platform, as well as its partnership with Topstep. Plus500 said further B2B announcements are expected as its partner ecosystem continues to scale.
The group is a global multi-asset fintech operating proprietary trading platforms, offering CFDs, share dealing, futures and options, and holds regulatory licenses in 16 countries, serving clients in over 60 markets.
