Public Onboards Prashant Yerramalli as VP of Operations and Regulatory Affairs

Public, a multi-asset investment platform for retail investors, has added a former Chief of Staff at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), Prashant Yerramalli, to its executive team as VP of Operations and Regulatory Affairs.

Between January 2021 and December 2022, Prashant served as a senior advisor to SEC Chair Gary Gensler on all aspects of the agency's mission, including enforcement, rulemaking, examinations, policy, and agency operations.

In the new role, he will leverage his experience and expertise to provide strategic support to Public’s legal and compliance teams on various regulatory matters. Besides, he will help drive new product development and manage the firm's overall risk profile.

Previously, Prashant held positions at Brookfield Asset Management, Jenner & Block, WilmerHale. He has received a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an A.B. from Brown University.
