Public.com Teams up with Supermodel Iskra Lawrence to Target Female Investors

The online brokerage and social trading startup Public.com announced today the launch of Inpower, a new interactive, educational program from Public.com, in partnership with supermodel Iskra Lawrence to increase financial literacy for all women, and to provide the tools and knowledge they need to be successful, and convert the mindset that finance is out of their league.
Lawrence, a longtime member of Public.com, is known to the community as an investor who’s not afraid to ask questions, often polling other members for their thoughts on everything from investing strategies to how they spend their free time. Like Public.com’s 90% first-time investors, she started her investing journey on Public.com and built her confidence alongside the community.
According to the official press release, starting in January, each week InPower participants will have exclusive access to brand-new educational videos from Lawrence, spanning topics like Investing and Banking 101, the importance of diversification, investing as financial wellness, and how investing can impact their future. The videos will also feature Lawrence’s personal stories around her own investing journey, making the experiences relatable and easily digestible for new investors who might be intimidated by the market.
“We’re so excited to launch InPower with Iskra, and to make her an equity holder of Public.com as we continue our partnership to help women build their confidence and personal finance skills. Registration is open today, and the InPower program will officially kick off in the Public app the first week of January,” said the broker.
Last month, Public.com has teamed up with Elaine Welteroth, journalist, producer, and New York Times best-selling author, and WNBA all-star Skylar Diggins-Smith to target female investors, especially young BIPOC people.
