Quandl appoints Hamza Khan as Head of European Data

Quandl, a Nasdaq company and the largest provider and pioneer of alternative data for financial professionals, announced that it has appointed Hamza Khan as Head of European Data.
This new hire came at a time when the demand for European data grows significantly and the company is planning to expand its presence in the European solutions.
In his new role, Khan will be based in Amsterdam with connections across the continent on the buy and sell side and lead the organization's data strategy in Europe.
Khan began his career as a quantitative analyst and was the head of commodities strategy at ING prior to founding Suburbia. Khan brings to Nasdaq a deep understanding of both the buy and sell side in Europe along with a history of finding difficult-to-access data.
“Investor demand for European alternative data has been rising, but supply has not kept pace,” said Tammer Kamel, Head of Nasdaq's Quandl. “Hamza understands what our customers need and can marry that with his expert knowledge of the European domain.”
“After spending years developing close relationships with data providers across Europe, I look forward to providing our customers with information advantages in European markets,” said Khan. “Nasdaq is synonymous with high-quality data and insights, and I’m thrilled to be part of their team.”
Quandl delivers financial, economic and alternative data to over 400,000 analysts worldwide.
