Quincy Data Introduces Sub-Nanosecond Time Sync Service for US Financial Markets

Quincy Data, a leader in ultra-low latency market data technology, has unveiled its new Time Synchronization as a Service (TSaaS), offering financial firms across the United States access to sub-nanosecond time precision.
The new service is designed to cater to the growing demands of trading firms seeking greater accuracy and resilience in their operations, particularly in the New Jersey and Chicago metro areas, which are crucial hubs for US financial exchanges.
Quincy Data's TSaaS enables firms to synchronize their trading systems with precise time distribution, which is critical for high-frequency trading, as even microsecond delays can impact profitability. The service leverages two fault-tolerant White Rabbit networks, one in the New Jersey metro area and another in Chicago, ensuring highly reliable, sub-nanosecond synchronization.
Bob Meade, co-founder of Quincy Data, commented on the importance of the service: "Quincy Data is uniquely positioned to provide a unified and resilient time synchronization service across multiple exchange trading locations. We leveraged our deep experience in ultra-low latency engineering to provide a service many firms can utilize."
His co-founder, Stephane Tyc, added, "It's expensive for individual firms to build and very challenging to maintain these extremely precise systems. The idea of a shared service is at the very heart of what Quincy Data provides its clients."
