R. J. O'Brien Elevates Matt Heidkamp to COO, US, and Gemma Lloyd to COO, EMEA

R.J. O'Brien & Associates (RJO), the oldest and largest independent futures brokerage and clearing firm in the US, announced on Monday (October 9, 2023) the promotions of Matt Heidkamp to Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer (COO), U.S. for RJO, and Gemma Lloyd to COO, EMEA for the firm's UK-based affiliate R.J. O'Brien Limited (RJO Limited).

Heidkamp has spent about 29 years at RJO​ in trading and operations. Most recently, he worked as Senior Director of Operations at the company.

"Heidkamp has tremendous expertise and experience in the space, particularly in operations, and his contributions to what we do have been invaluable," commented Terry Gilhooly, Global COO of RJO.

Lloyd joined RJO Limited in early 2023 as Chief Commercial Officer. She boasts over 25-year experience in client service, business development and sales management roles in the listed derivatives space with brokerage firms, investment banks and asset managers. 

RJO Limited is growing its presence in Europe, EMEA, and adding products, asset classes and capabilities beyond its listed derivatives offering. Lloyd will play a vital role in support of the firm's traditional markets while helping to boost that expansion in EMEA from an operations perspective, according to Mark Phelps, Managing Director, EMEA for RJO Limited.
