Rakuten Card's Systems Development Subsidiary Relocates to New Office in Vietnam

Rakuten Fintech Vietnam Co., Ltd., a system development subsidiary of Rakuten Card Co., Ltd., announced that it relocated to a new location in Ho Chi Minh City on November 13. The relocation allows the subsidiary to further increase personnel and expand operations to meet the growing needs of systems development work. Rakuten Card Co., Ltd. is the credit card and loans unit of Japan's Rakuten Group.

Rakuten Fintech Vietnam was established in October 2021 to serve as a development center to drive Rakuten Card's sustainable growth, accelerate system development, and provide support for business continuity planning of Rakuten Card's IT systems.

The new office is located in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City with convenient transportation access. With a capacity for about 200 employees and conference rooms, huddle spaces, and booths available, the office offers a good working environment for employees to collaborate on projects.

In August this year, Rakuten Group announced its plan to consolidate its payments and points businesses and fold them into Rakuten Card​, stating that the move may promote the listing of this card business.
