Rakuten Securities to Offer CFDs on Commodities and Stock Indices

​Rakuten Securities, one of the major online brokers in Japan, a subsidiary of Internet services provider Rakuten Inc, announced that it will start offering CFD trading service on stock indices and commodities.

The new offerings are expected to be launched from late January 2021. Prior to this, customers who have an "Rakuten FX" account will apply for the beta version service on December 28, 2020, and will be in beta version from January 11, 2021.

The broker will provide the new service via its MT4, and the maximum leverage is 10 times for stock index stocks and 20 times for commodity stocks.

By providing the "CFD trading" service, Rakuten Securities will expand the environment in which it is possible to invest in global stocks more efficiently and easily than ever before.

“Going forward, we will continue to provide attractive services and products that meet the needs of our customers in a safer and more secure environment, thereby further expanding our customer base and contributing to our customers' investment activities and asset formation,”the company said.

Rakuten Securities regularly enriches its offering. In October 2020, the broker added 41 new stocks to its offering.
