Revolut Expands New Zealand Offering with Crypto Trading & Education Features

Following launch in New Zealand in July this year, British fintech Revolut has taken the next step to expand its services in the region by introducing crypto trading and an educational tool, 'Learn and Earn' in the Revolut app.

Revolut is aimed at enhancing financial access and bolstering financial literacy by providing a seamless crypto experience for Kiwis.

Customers in New Zealand will be able to buy and sell more than 100 crypto tokens including BTC, ETH, and XRP from within the Revolut app. They can also set up watchlist alerts.

"Revolut is excited to edge closer to our goal of simplifying the money experience for Kiwis by expanding into new verticals like education and trading," said Georgia Grange, Revolut’s Head of New Zealand. "By adding crypto and educational tools like Learn and Earn to our NewZealand platform, Revolut strives to make accessing and investing in cryptocurrencies – previously deemed time-consuming, difficult and expensive- easy. Through our offering, Revolut aims to drive seamless access to alternate asset classes, and provide educational content to help Kiwis navigate it responsibly".

Shortly before, Revolut unveiled its plans​ to suspend some of its crypto services from its U.K. business clients in response to incoming new rules from the country's regulator.
