Revolut names Rebecca Macieira-Kaufmann to US board

Revolut, the fast-growing fintech offering easy access to banking services for underbanked communities in the United States, has appointed Rebecca Macieira-Kaufmann to its board of directors. This addition to the company aims to confirm Revolut's mission to become the banking provider of choice for underbanked communities in the United States.

As seen on her Linkedin profile, Ms. Macieira-Kaufmann, has more than 25 years experience in US financial services. Most recently she served as Head of International Personal Bank (US) at Citigroup Inc. Prior to this, Macieira-Kaufmann served as President & CEO of Banamex USA, a subsidiary of Citigroup Inc, and as President of Citibank for California and Nevada. She holds a BA in Semiotics from Brown University and a MBA from Standford University Graduate School of Buisness.

Speaking on her appointment, Ms. Macieira-Kaufmann said: "The US still has many communities under-served by the banking industry, including the many people who come to this country and find it incredibly difficult to open a bank account. Revolut has made an exceptional commitment to solve this problem and is doing so offering unbeatable value and world class technology. This is an issue that is close to my heart so I am delighted to join the Revolut US Board."
