A year after launching its self-custody web3 wallet, Robinhood Wallet, to iOS users worldwide, the US-based retail trading app Robinhood Markets Inc. (Robinhood) has announced the official launch of the service for Android users.

"Today, we are excited to release Robinhood Wallet to all eligible Android users globally, expanding on our mission to make Robinhood the most trusted and easiest way to use crypto. All customers who previously joined the waitlist can download and get started today," announced Robinhood on Wednesday.

According to the announcement, Robinhood Wallet was initially launched in 2023 and is available in over 140 countries/regions around the world. This launch on Android will bring millions of potential crypto users globally into its user base. Now, Android users can store, manage, send and receive, and swap crypto through the wallet.

Johann Kerbrat, GM of Robinhood Crypto, said: "Launching Robinhood Wallet on Android is a big step forward in our commitment to make crypto more accessible and seamlessly integrated into daily life for millions of people around the world."

Robinhood also revealed that it will continuously add new features based on customer feedback to better cater to their needs.

The company has been making several moves recently. Earlier this week, Robinhood's brokerage services went live in the UK, although its margin trading services were temporarily suspended due to regulatory reasons. Last December, the company also introduced its crypto trading app, Robinhood Crypto, to all eligible customers in the European Union.
