Robinhood Sees Departure of Board Member Scott Sandell

Fazzaco learned that Scott Sandell, the board member of Robinhood Markets, Inc. ("Robinhood"), is leaving the company. His resignation is effective from May 12, 2022.

Scott joined Robinhood's board of directors in June 2016. As seen on his Linkedin profile, Scott has been serving as Managing General Partner of New Enterprise Associates, a global venture capital firm, since January 2016. 

Additionally, the company's Board announced the appointment of Frances Frei as chair of the People and Compensation Committee and reduced the size of the Board from nine to eight directors.

As Fazzaco reported earlier, Robinhood has added Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) and Ethereum Trust (ETHE)​. Robinhood customers can now gain access to the crypto investment products, and get exposure to bitcoin or ethereum without actually owning the digital currencies.
