Robinhood to Open New Office in Charlotte
American securities brokerage Robinhood yesterday announced that it will open a new office in September in Charlotte. The new office brings Robinhood’s presence to nine cities in the U.S., aiming to grow the teams to meet the needs of the next generation of investors.
According to the official announcement, the company expects to hire over 100 people in the areas of marketing, compliance, and elsewhere this year, primarily on its customer experience team.
Commenting on the latest physical presence expansion, Alex Mesa, Head of Customer Experience at Robinhood, stated, “Charlotte is known for its talented and diverse workforce, making it an easy choice as we looked to expand our operations. We’re confident that Charlotte’s workforce will further contribute to our mission and lower the barriers to investing for all. We’re thrilled to join the Charlotte community.”
Let's recall that, Fazzaco early reported that Robinhood has confidentially submitted a draft registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to the proposed initial public offering (IPO) of its common stock. Later then, the company planned to build a platform that allows its users to snap up new IPOs at the offering price.
