Roz Smith Appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Broadridge International

The global Fintech leader Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. (Broadridge) has appointed Roz Smith as Chief Operating Officer of Broadridge International, effective May 1, 2024. Based in London, Smith will collaborate closely with Mike Sleightholme, President of Broadridge International, to drive the expansion and growth of Broadridge globally and to ensure the customer service experience in the EMEA and APAC regions.

In her new role, Smith's primary focus will be on enhancing efficiency and productivity within Broadridge International through scaling and streamlining operations. She will lead the implementation processes, program management, and ensure the effectiveness of the organizational structure at country and regional levels. Additionally, Smith will play a key role in delivering segment-specific solutions to meet client needs and drive the adoption of best practices across functions, business units, and regions.

Before joining Broadridge, Smith amassed over 18 years of experience at HSBC, where she held various key roles in global banking, risk control, and securities services, such as Wholesale Risk Manager of Corporate Risk, Senior Wholesale Risk Manager of Bank & Sovereign Risk, Global Chief Operating Officer of Global Banking & Markets & Commercial Banking Risk, Global Chief Control Officer of HSBC Securities Services, and the most recently the Head of Strategy and Change Management of Control Office, Markets & Securities Services.

Smith began her career in September 2000 at Bank of Scotland, an established commercial and clearing bank in Edinburgh, where she served as Manager of Corporate Banking for over two years. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Studies & French from the University of Edinburgh Business School.

Earlier this month, Broadridge also announced a change in its Chief Financial Officer (CFO)​, with the current CFO Edmund Reese set to leave at the end of the month and be replaced on an interim basis by Ashima Ghei, who is currently the CFO of Broadridge's Investor Communication Solutions segment.
