Ryo Hanamura joins Arthur D. Little's partnership in Japan

According to Ignacio García Alves, the award-winning Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Arthur D. Little, Hanamura has over the past years in the role of principal demonstrated “new client acquisition capacity, account management and project delivery performance”, making his admission into the partnership a logical next step in his career.

With around 1,200 consultants and staff across 25+ offices globally, Arthur D. Little is one of the world’s leading strategy and management consultancies. In Asia, the firm has 10 offices – three in China, two in India, and one office in Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Its Tokyo based locale is one of its larger hubs in the region.

Hanamura now joins a partner team including among others Yuma Ito, Kensuke Sobue and Shota Mitsuya, and will co-lead the firm’s Healthcare & Life Sciences practice. He has an extensive track record serving pharma and medtech clients, on topics such as research & development, innovation management, M&A strategy and due diligence, portfolio optimisation, technology evaluation for new areas, and life science investment strategy support ] for the Japanese Government.

Over the past years, Hanamura has also advised clients in other industries such as chemicals, private equity, fast moving consumer goods, and the public sector. In addition to his client work, he plays an important role in internal practice development and people management.

Ryo Hanamura holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree of Engineering, both from the University of Tokyo.
