Sage Capital and EDXM International Form Institutional Crypto Partnership

Digital asset prime broker Sage Capital Management has entered into a partnership with EDXM International, a crypto trading venue that specializes in institutional access to perpetual futures contracts.
Under the arrangement, Sage Capital will serve as prime broker, connecting hedge funds, asset managers, family offices, and brokers to EDXM's platform. The exchange currently offers 44 perpetual futures pairs, including contracts tied to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP.
EDXM International is backed by prominent financial institutions and investors, among them Citadel Securities, Fidelity Digital Assets, Charles Schwab, Virtu Financial, and venture firms Sequoia Capital and Pantera Capital.
Sage Capital's services will include credit intermediation, collateral management, and net settlement — features aimed at reducing capital costs for institutional clients. The firm also highlights risk controls such as non-custodial trading access, central clearing, and segregated client accounts designed to remain protected in the event of insolvency.
CEO Nathan Sage said the tie-up was part of the company's broader strategy. "EDXM International is backed by some of the world's most established financial institutions and we are delighted to be providing a gateway to such a credible venue," he noted.
Kal Chan, Head of Institutions at EDXM International, welcomed the partnership, describing Sage Capital as a "rapidly growing" prime broker known for secure and compliant digital asset access.
The partnership comes as demand for institutional-grade crypto services continues to rise, particularly in derivatives trading. Observers say the collaboration could enhance liquidity and strengthen risk management frameworks in a market that remains under close regulatory and investor scrutiny.
