Salim Sebbata Joins Capital.com as Head of M&A

Salim Sebbata has been appointed as the Head of M&A and Corporate Development at Capital.com, a prominent online brokerage based in London. His arrival signals a strategic shift for the rapidly expanding firm, which is poised to enhance its focus on acquisitions amidst a consolidating FX and CFDs market.

Sebbata brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as CEO of BUX UK and as Managing Director for the Stryk trading app in Cyprus. His tenure at BUX concluded with the firm's acquisition by ABN Amro and the subsequent sale of BUX UK to APM Capital this past summer.

Before his time at BUX, Sebbata was Executive Director at Livemarkets Ltd. and led business development at Trade.com. His extensive background includes serving as Vice President at Merrill Lynch in Frankfurt and managing international sales for E*TRADE.

Capital.com has been active in the acquisition space, notably acquiring the client base of OvalX after the broker ceased funding. With Sebbata at the helm of M&A, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on future opportunities as the sector evolves.
