Santander Bank Polska Adds Lech Gałkowski to Its Management Board

Santander Bank Polska, a Polish universal bank, announced that its Supervisory Board has added Lech Gałkowski to the Management Board and entrusted him with the vital task of heading the Business and Corporate Banking Division.

Gałkowski has been with Santander Bank Polska for nearly 9 years. He has been working in the Corporate and Investment Banking Division (CIB) ever since he joined the bank in 2012. Most recently, he served as Director of the Investment Banking Department.

Gałkowski has remarkable expertise in the financial industry, especially the banking sector. His positions in multiple prominent firms include Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Telestrada S.A., CFO at Volvo Car Group, and Director, Corporate Banking Head at Royal Bank of Scotland Business. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand as Senior Auditor in 1996.

Santander Bank Polska is the third largest bank in Poland in terms of assets value and the number of outlets. It was formed in 2001 by the merger of Bank Zachodni S.A. and Wielkopolski Bank Kredytowy SA. Since 2011, the Bank has been owned by the Spanish bank Santander Group.
