Saxo Appoints New Regional Leadership for APAC and MENA

​Saxo has announced leadership changes to drive growth in the APAC and MENA regions. Damian Hitchen, who has led Saxo's MENA operations since 2021, will assume the role of Regional Head for APAC and MENA.

Hitchen brings 20 years of financial services experience, including leadership roles at Swissquote in Singapore and Dubai. Commenting on his expanded role, he stated: "I look forward to the challenge of building on the opportunities across the MENA and APAC regions in close collaboration with Mahesh, Thomas, and the wider APAC team."

In Singapore, Mahesh Sethuraman has been appointed CEO, tasked with accelerating regional growth. Sethuraman, who joined Saxo in 2018, emphasized his commitment to expanding Saxo's presence. "Having been in Singapore since 2006, Saxo has grown substantially over the years... but we still have a long way to go," he remarked.

The leadership changes follow Adam Reynolds' decade-long tenure as APAC CEO, during which he solidified Saxo's position in the region.
