Fazzaco learned that Saxo Bank, the online trading and investment specialist, has promoted interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Mads Dorf Petersen to CFO role on permanent basis.
Petersen became interim CFO in October 2022, after former CFO Mette Ingeman Pedersen stepped down. Petersen is a long-time executive at Saxo, where he spent for nearly 14 years. He joined Saxo in March 2009 as Director and held various leadership roles with this broker.
Prior to joining Saxo, Petersen spent more than 7 years with Copenhagen Airports A/S, where he most recently served as Chief Financial Executive, a position he started in November 2007.
Kim Fournais, CEO & Founder, commented: "On behalf of Saxo, I'm very happy to announce that Mads Dorf Petersen will continue in the role as CFO. Mads is an exceptional and positive person, a subject matter expert that is always curious to learn even more, and he is very well-liked and respected by his colleagues and team. His expertise and proven track record makes him the ideal person to lead our financial and legal operations and help us achieve our strategic goals."
As Fazzaco reported earlier this month, the proposed business combination of Saxo Bank and Disruptive Capital Acquisition Company Limited (DCAC) has been terminated. The combination was initially announced in September 2022.
