According to the latest figures, the commodities and FX trading volumes through Saxo Bank have surged to the highest level in a year.

In March 2022, the client daily trade of Saxo Bank came in at $6.6 billion, increasing 18% on a month-to-month basis from January's $5.6 billion, and declining 11% on a year-over-year basis from $7.4 billion in 2021. Its total monthly FX volume in March was $152.2 billion, up 34% on a monthly basis, but lower 10% compared to March's $170 billion in 2021.

Driven by Russia-Ukraine War, the increased volatility of FX market has promoted a significant increase in commodities' volumes, which reached the highest total volumes of $67 billion in 2022, up 52% MoM and up nearly 72% YoY.

Opposed to the growth in commodities and FX, Saxo Bank's average daily volume (ADV) across all asset classes decreased during 2022. As it reported, the broker's ADV across all asset classes came to $20 billion, which was lower than February's $21 billion, but higher by 17% from the figure in March 2021.
