Saxo Bank’s Trading Volumes Decline for the Third Consecutive ‎Month

Copenhagen's Saxo Bank has published its trading metrics for the month of August 2022, showing a decline in its total trading volumes for the third consecutive month.

According to the latest figures, the total trading volume for the month came in $311.8 billion, decreasing 3.3 percent on a month-to-month basis from July's $322 billion. Additionally, the total average daily volume in August was $13.6 billion, which was 11.1 percent lower than last month's $15.3 billion.

Saxo Bank reported that the average daily volume for forex trading in August was $4.8 billion and total FX trading volume for the month came in at $109.8 billion. That was a month-over-month decrease of 5.3 percent compared to last month's $115.9 billion.

Moreover, commodities and equities markets also saw a decline in demand, bringing a total of $29.2 billion and $164.4billion in monthly volumes, respectively. Fixed income market demand increased from the previous month's $7.7 billion to $8.5 billion.
