Saxo Markets UK Appoints Peter Morris as New COO

Fazzaco learned that Saxo Markets UK Limited, the subsidiary of the online trading and investment specialist Saxo Bank, has selected Peter Morris to assume the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Morris is the former Managing Director Global Brokerage Operations at BGC Partners. He has approximately 4-decades experience in the global corporate field, having been with firms including Cognizant, Broadridge Financial Solutions, Smartstream Systems, and Nomura, etc.

In his new role, he will supervise the expansion of Saxo Markets UK, reporting to Charles White-Thomson, CEO of Saxo Markets UK. In addition, he has joined the company as a board member.

"Morris' depth and breadth of expertise across the trading and technology landscape will be a huge asset to the firm at a time of great growth potential for the industry which will undoubtedly bring more opportunities for differentiation through technology, strong operational foundations, and risk management. We are delighted to have him on board," Charles White-Thomson commented on the appointment.

Shortly before, Nicholas Wilcock and Michael Ridley have joined Saxo Markets UK’s board as independent Non-Executive directors.
