Sberbank Announces Strategic Partnership with Merlion

Sberbank, a Russian state-owned bank founded in 1991 and headquartered in Moscow, announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with Merlion, a major broadline distributor and a leader in the Russian IT market.

With Positronica and Citilink retailers, IT Clinic computer service centers, PC brand iRU, and other assets, Merlion will be integrated into the e-commerce vertical Sber is currently creating.

According to the press release, the partnership should strengthen the position of Sber's e-commerce, create of a raft of new opportunities for B2B and B2C customers, and offer integrated seamless customer experience through Sber ecosystem's financial and technology solutions. Merlion will also be using its channels proactively to distribute Sber ecosystem products.
