SC Malaysia Invites Applications for Second Cohort of FIKRA ACE Accelerator Program

In a press release published today, the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has initiated the application process for the second cohort of its FIKRA ACE Accelerator program, marking a pivotal step in advancing the Islamic Capital Market (ICM) through innovative fintech solutions.
Launched in 2023 as part of the comprehensive FIKRA ACE initiative, this three-year program aims to foster entrepreneurship and technological innovation within the Islamic finance sector.
Building upon the success of its inaugural cohort, the FIKRA ACE Accelerator offers a structured platform for startups to refine their ideas and develop minimum-viable products over an intensive eight-week period. The program encompasses a series of workshops, mentorship sessions, networking opportunities, and facilitation of funding sources tailored to the unique needs of emerging enterprises. Scheduled to commence in August 2024, the accelerator is open to aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage companies, both locally and internationally, provided they have less than three years of market presence.
The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) serves as the strategic local ecosystem partner for the FIKRA ACE initiative, offering crucial support in terms of infrastructure, resources, and market insights essential for scaling businesses. Additionally, the SC has partnered with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) as the global ecosystem partner, enriching the program with international perspectives and expertise in Islamic finance.
Interested applicants are encouraged to register online through the SC's official portal from today until July 31, 2024.
